The sea log concept is a mat of concrete "logs" shaped much like
parking lot space bumpers that are connected by galvanized wire.
These mats are laid out on the riverbank over filter cloth to form a
boat ramp or in front of a structure to provide scour protection from
waves or currents. The mats are made of eight logs, measure 8 feet
by 4 feet wide and weigh about 900 pounds.

Scouring is a cause of waterfront erosion at the base of structures hit
by waves. Seament Shoreline Systems provide   several components
and attributes of the system that combat scouring. Shown below are
Sea Logs that do a superb job of scour protection where severe
undermining might otherwise be expected.
